VEGAS: V
V, the variety show at the Venetian, doesn’t have the big production value of other shows on the strip, instead it focuses on a bunch of small acts. The show is always changing but the time I saw it there was a comedian/juggler, a Chinese Acrobatic group, a magician duo, an erotic dance, a singer and a comedic bit that involved the audience. The host of the show is played by a Liberace-like, gay guy who flirts with straight guys in the audience. He’s very funny and flamboyant and is the highlight of the show.
V is fun and there’s lots of audience interaction but when it’s over I was thinking is that it? There’s not a lot to it but for the price I was expecting a little more, especially now a days with the huge productions that are playing up and down the strip.
