Gay Days Anaheim a Star-Studded Event at Disneyland Oct. 5-7
The Seven Dwarfs will have to make room this week for Karmin, Florence Henderson and RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars, who are among the celebrities headed to the Happiest Place on Earth for Gay Days at Disneyland, Oct. 5-7.
Michael Urie (Ugly Betty), Dot Marie Jones (Glee), Miss Coco Peru and Kimberly Caldwell (American Idol) will also join the 15th annual “unofficial” LGBT party at Disneyland in Anaheim. Participants are encouraged to where red, to make fellow Gay Days participants easier to spot.
ABC and LOGO will offer free premiere screenings of pilots at the Grand Californian Hotel: ABC will give a sneak peek at the series Nashville, starring Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere; and Logo presents RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars, with some of the stars in attendance.
The Wonderland dance party kicks off the weekend on Friday, Oct. 5, from 9:30-1 a.m. at Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney. Hosted by Los Angeles drag diva Momma, the event is $20 and benefits The Trevor Project.
After a day of play in the Disneyland park on Saturday, Oct. 6, the KINGDOM dance party will feature DJ Kimberly S and special performances by Karmin (Brokenhearted) and Kimberly Caldwell at the House of Blues Anaheim, in Downtown Disney.
Among the highlights Sunday is An Intimate Conversation with Florence Henderson, in which TV’s Mrs. Brady talks about her life, career and her new book on Sunday, Oct. 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the Grand Californian Hotel. Tickets are $20 and will benefit Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS.
Also on Sunday, play continues at Disney’s California Adventure and with the Gay Days Anaheim PLUNGE pool party, at noon at the Anabella Hotel.
