Facts of Life Star Uses Mentura for Education
With new media helping to facilitate the educational process for many families there is a new advantage to supplement a child’s learning at home.
Mentura, the world’s leading educational DVD rental service supplies thousands of educational titles nationwide to parents and schools alike. The company also caters to the nearly million kids who are home schooled in the United States today.
Mentura acts as an “educational video” consolidator. There is no single source for parents to purchase the over 12,000 titles the company offers. Mentura is the only company that rents educational and family friendly DVDs. For less than $.67 a day, parents have access to a multi-million dollar educational DVD library.
Parents receive their DVDs on every subject from math, social studies to advanced college courses through the mail. Mentura even published their own Learning Guides for each DVD that assists parents and educators in creating lesson plans for their children.
Former teen star and current Mentura board member Lisa Whelchel, who played Blair Warner from TV’s “The Facts of Life,” joined the company because of her strong belief that parents need to supplement their children’s education. “The titles Mentura has in its library enable parents to provide their children with incredible educational adventures from climbing Mount Everest to exploring the planets,” said Lisa Whelchel.
Mentura’s library includes hard-to-find educational titles as well as programming from National Geographic, PBS, The History Channel, The Learning Channel, IMAX, Discovery Channel, BBC and A&E. Parents receive their DVDs on every subject from math, social studies to advanced college courses through the mail. Mentura even published their own Learning Guides for each DVD that assists parents and educators in creating lesson plans for their children.
