Catching up With Taco

Who is Taco? Taco isn’t a type of food, but a performer who had some success in the early 80s. He reached the bigtime with his smash hit, “Puttin’ on the Ritz,” which was an updated, new-wave version of an old song. Taco quickly vanished from the charts after his initial success and hasn’t been heard from for ages.

Recently Taco has put a new band together to create music he calls “Swing & Soul.” It’s a combination of swing classics, new songs and a new version of “Puttin’ on the Ritz” backed by a big-band sound.
