The Abbey’s David Cooley to open 10,000-square-foot restaurant, bar in West Hollywood

Another mega-club in West Hollywood?
David Cooley, founder of the West Hollywood watering hole The Abbey, announced Wednesday he will develop a 10,000-square-foot bar and restaurant in the heart of Boystown.Cooley, 53, signed a lease Tuesday to turn the former Raffi’s Jewelry and Balliamos dance studio spaces, and Unicorn Alley adult store, into one renovated space, a bar and restaurant at 8936 Santa Monica Blvd.
With renovation of the corner space at Robertson and SMB into P.U.M.P, that would bring 5 major bars within a pub crawl’s walk: The Abbey, here lounge, P.U.M.P, Motherlode, and Cooley’s new venture!
