Melanie Mayron’s ‘Slap Her, She’s French’ in West Hollywood

Piper Perabo (“Imagine Me and You”) stars in the Los Angeles premiere of director Melanie Mayron’s high school farce, “Slap Her, She’s French,” at the West Hollywood Library on Wednesday, May 6, at 7:30 p.m.

Presented by Showtime as part of the Outfest Hollywood Series in the City Council Chambers, “Slap Her” is about a French exchange student (Perabo) who wreaks havoc on a Texas high school and its cheerleading squad.

The film will screen for the first time in Los Angeles in the original, uncensored version never released in theaters.
The comedy also stars Jane McGregor, Julie White and Matt Czuchry (“The Good Wife”).
