CELEBRITY HAIRSTYLES: THE BEST LOOKS FROM THE OSCARS 2013

This year The Oscars did not seem to have a theme when it came to hair, the looks were all over the map. Some were modern, some were retro Hollywood glam and others had a textured look to them. 

Take a look at some of this years leading ladies hairstyles that just swept The Oscars 2013 red carpet and why they made our list.

Staying true to this years red carpet theme in honoring Hollywood’s past winners we can start with the beautiful Retro Hollywood Glam hairstyle Reese Witherspoon and Jessica Chastain brought to this years carpet. This look was reminiscent of Veronica Lake curls with a soft side sweep that brought a touch of romance to these ladies looks. 

Now, for a little touch of texture and style Amanda Seyfried and Naomi Watts wore a similar hairstyle that was loosely pulled back and with a little touch of texture were able to pull of this similar messy up do at The Oscars. Both of these looks were youthful and sophisticated but still fun and flirty.

“Silver Linnings Playbook” actress and Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence seemed to have kept it safe with this very similar pulled back hairstyle from the Golden Globes and brought it back to The Oscars. I guess she figured “Why mess with a good thing?”. Jennifer not only stunned with her look but her bride couture inspired Dior off white gown was to die for. Definitely made her a favorite on the red carpet. 

Finally this long awaited return of Charlize Theron and her signature short (extremely short) buzzed, blonde, hairstyle. Thisgirl not only looked stunning on the red carpet at The Oscars but her Dior couture dress was simply statuesque. It seemed to be a different and opposite look from Jennifer Lawrence also Dior gown. Can Charlize please keep this hairstyle for a while?
