City of West Hollywood : Community Study

The Community Study updated the City’s demographics and informed the priorities for allocating over $4 million to local non-profit organization which provide vital social services to help support community members. The study utilized unprecedented community engagement to develop its findings, including a random survey, pop-up workshops held in many different locations around the City, focus groups, one-on-one interviews, and a community meeting. 56% of survey respondents have lived in West Hollywood for 10 or more years. As was the case in the 2000 U.S. Census, the 2010 Census showed residents ages 25-34 continue to make up the largest percentage of the population at 27%, followed by 35-44 year olds at 20%.
